Dance Class Attire
Rising Stars PAC kindly requests that all performers wear the appropriate attire for each class they are taking. General rules for all students, regardless of the class, are:
1. No Street Shoes in the Studios
2. No Food, Gum or Soda in the Studios
3. No Jewelry (small earrings are okay).
4. Water Bottles are Allowed in the studio (Be sure your name is on it)
5. You may not wear socks in the Studios
6. With all skirts or dresses: Leotard, Dance Shorts or leggings are required.
For all Dance Classes:
Hair must be pulled back and out of your face.
For Ballet class’s hair must be in a bun.
Males: For Jazz & Ballet: Black jumpsuit or plain white or black t-shirt with black dance pants, and black dance shoes* appropriate for class. Consult with instructor for other class attire.
Preschool, K-1st Ballet: Pink tights, pink or black leotard, pink ballet shoes.
Ballet skirt is optional; please make sure that it is attached
to the leotard.
Ballet & Pointe: Pink tights, pink or black leotard, pink split-sole ballet shoes. Consult with pointe instructor before purchasing your pointe shoes. Bring the ballet and pointe shoes and elastic and/or ribbon to your first class; the instructor will show you exactly where and how to sew them on. No dance skirts, please.
Tap: Pink tights, pink or black leotard and black tap shoes with flat heels. either slip-on or tied shoes are fine. Tap shoes should be purchased from a dance boutique to last till the recital.
Broadway Jazz: Pink tights, black or pink dance pants/shorts; leotard; black jazz shoes.
Hip-Hop: All black sneakers, or black jazz boot.. Please reserve these sneakers for dance class only. Wear clothing that allows free movement - cargo dance pants, sweat pants, etc. Wear a hat or bandana to look the part! No denim pants or shorts.
